This 1,284-acre master-planned community consists of 1,119 single and multi-family units, coupled with mixed-use commercial space, public and private parks, and open space trail systems and preserves, and 334 acres of natural habitat.
Project Challenge and Solution
Consideration for the traffic, existing topographical constraints, existing fire conditions, and environmental constraints within the project were of paramount importance.
We designed the new roadways to handle the traffic flow and to reduce speeds with the implementation of five traffic circles, being sensitive to compliment the grading to blend in with the natural topography. We incorporated fuel zones to reduce the risk of fire and to respect the existing environmental features to pull the community edges away from the sensitive areas.
Interesting Features
The master-planned community blends community with access to open space areas through a system of trails. The project has an extensive amount of public and private parks that offer amenities for community orientation. Approximately 334 acres of land is preserved for permanent open space.
